ACCESSIBILITY

The Kamloops Art Gallery is committed to ensuring equitable access to its exhibitions and programs for all people, including persons with disabilities and accompanying support persons.

Mobility and/or Wheelchair Accessibility
The doors at the main entrance have an automatic door opener.

Both floors of the Kamloops Art Gallery are wheelchair accessible with elevator access. The Gallery is accessible up a long, low-incline ramp on the first floor.

Street parking is available with a loading zone for pick up and drop off located outside the entrance on 5th Avenue.

An accessible parking space is available across the street from the Gallery on Victoria Street.

A standard-sized wheelchair is available for complimentary use at the Gallery.

Washrooms
The Kamloops Art Gallery is equipped with a wheelchair-accessible, gender-inclusive, single-user washroom located on our 1st floor in the Studios. Please check in at the Admissions Desk for access.

The building is also equipped with wheelchair-accessible, multi-stall, gendered public washrooms in the Atrium. The washrooms are not wide enough to accommodate medical scooters. Both the washrooms include a family change table.

Support Persons
Admission is free for all support persons.

Service Animals
Service animals are welcome at the Kamloops Art Gallery.

Rest Areas
The Kamloops Art Gallery offers rest areas on both floors.
