In a spirit of cooperation, the Kamloops Foundation has spearheaded and joined forces with Kamloops Art Gallery, Kamloops Symphony and Western Canada Theatre to assist these three major non-profit arts and culture organizations to build their respective permanent endowment funds.
These permanent endowments ensure that your contribution will continue to provide support for the exhibitions, performances, education programs and other community services of the Kamloops Art Gallery, Kamloops Symphony and Western Canada Theatre for generations to come.
Your donation to our Creating Tomorrow endowment fundraising campaign can be made in person by cheque (made payable to Kamloops Foundation) at the Gallery or mailed directly to the Kamloops Foundation, or by credit card through Kamloops Live! Box Office at 374-5483 or on-line (just a click away). The Kamloops Foundation is the legal trustee for our endowment funds and will issue an appropriate tax receipt for your gift.
Any questions that you may have about our Creating Tomorrow campaign may be directed to any of the three organizations, for which contact information is listed below.

Endowed funds are monies placed in a fund with a trustee that acts at arms length from the owner of the fund. The capital is “endowed” (i.e. saved) in perpetuity. Earnings of the fund (interest, dividends, etc.) are disbursed to the organization that owns the fund for its use.
When an endowment fund reaches a point that it is able to return significant earnings, the organization owning the fund should find itself more financially stable, ensuring the long-term health of the organization. Obviously, the larger the fund, the greater the security.
Each of the participating organizations has existing endowment funds, managed by the Kamloops Foundation.
