The Kamloops Art Gallery welcomes all inquires. Artists may contact the Assistant Curator regarding The Cube and Gallery Under Glass exhibition sites and the Curator regarding all other exhibition spaces.

 

BMO open gallery

The BMO Open Gallery is an exhibition space developed by the Kamloops Art Gallery for community-based projects. The projects can relate to current KAG exhibitions or studio workshops, or can be community-generated, such as displays of art by members of a community organization or community group from the Thompson-Nicola Regional District that wishes to share its stories and ideas.

Projects in any medium will be considered. Proposals are reviewed by the KAG Program Team and are considered in relation to issues of installation, conservation and safety. First-time applicants will be given priority, and all other proposals will be reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis. The BMO Open Gallery is not safeguarded by security or conservation systems.

Requests to show in the BMO Open Gallery must include:

• Name of group or individual requesting use of the BMO Open Gallery
• Name, phone number, and email address of contact person
• Names, addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses for all individuals and organizations involved in the project
• Preferred dates for using this space
• Project description of 300 words or less
• Description of the type of work and how it will be installed

Work must be ready to install, e.g., framed, mounted, hanging devices affixed, etc.

As this is an open space, users must sign a waiver agreeing that any loss or damage to the installation or portions of the installation is not the responsibility of the Kamloops Art Gallery.
