The Kamloops Art Gallery welcomes all inquires. Artists may contact the Assistant Curator regarding The Cube exhibition space and the Curator regarding all other exhibition spaces. Unsolicited proposals will be reviewed twice a year and remain the property of the Kamloops Art Gallery.
The BMO Open Gallery is an exhibition space developed by the Kamloops Art Gallery for community-based, art-related projects. The projects can relate to current KAG exhibitions or studio workshops, or can be community-generated, such as displays of art by members of a community organization or community group from the Thompson-Nicola Regional District that want to share their stories and ideas.
Projects in any medium will be considered. Proposals are reviewed by the KAG Program Team and are considered in relation to issues of installation, conservation and safety. First-time applicants will be given priority, and all other proposals will be reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis. The BMO Open Gallery is not safeguarded by security or conservation systems.
We are currently scheduled until January 2017.
Requests to show in the BMO Open Gallery must include:
Work must be ready to install, e.g., framed, mounted, hanging devices affixed, etc.
As this is an open space, users must sign a waiver agreeing that any loss or damage to the installation or portions of the installation is not the responsibility of the Kamloops Art Gallery.
