Although the caption added to the photograph in the City of Vancouver Archives collection calls this 'The Onderdonks at Yale,' the same photograph in the first of the Onderdonk Albums, p. 43, identifies the scene as titled above, and also identifies the individuals. Standing, from left to right, are Mrs. Onderdonk, Mr. Ball, Mrs. H., Judge Walkman, Mrs. W., Dr. Tunstall, Mrs. Ledder, Mr. Herbert. Seated: Mr. Simonds, Sherly Onderdonk, Mrs. Bacon, Andrew Onderdonk, Eva Onderdonk. The identity of the sternwheeler in the background is not known, but is perhaps the S.S. Peerless.
