The same photograph appears in the Onderdonk Album 1, 34 (BCA No. 75088, also BCA No. I-30869) which appears again in Album No. 5, 40, with the caption 'Houses built for Chinamen in Winter - 1200 such houses in all.' Onderdonk may have provided the materials for such housing after the hardships of the Chinese workers during their first winters along the right of way.
