BCA Catalogue No. HP003769
BCA Negative No. A-01622
From Savona's Ferry, on Kamloops Lake, the end of the line as far as Contract 63 was concerned, a number of sternwheelers provided for the transportation of people and freight to various points along Kamloops and Shuswap lakes. By the time the rails had reached Savona, however, Onderdonk had already obtained a new contract with the Canadian Pacific Railway syndicate to construct the railway east from Savona's Ferry to Eagle Pass, and begun its construction.
Visiting British Columbia in August of 1884, Van Horne chartered the Peerless to take his party to Eagle Pass.
